Character design work for 3dtotal
I was commissioned to design my version of Baba Yaga, a character from Slavic folklore. The work was published in their character design collection book, where it showed the process of my work and I gave tips and hints on character design alongside other artists form the industry. In 2019 I was the character designer for a short Spanish film called 'La Primavera Siempre Vuelve' which is now being shown in film festivals around the world. Below you can find the some of the work involved in creating these characters!
In my first character design collection book with 3dtotal, I was commissioned to design a botanical heroine. I very much enjoyed creating this stubborn, whimsical, plant loving heroine with mushrooms growing from her hair.
I was also involved in 3dtotal's Fundamentals of character design book, teaching you how to create engaging characters for illustration and animation. I designed characters from the prompts I was given, including various hairstyles, props and poses. I also created a group image to show how you can create a cohesive image of multiple characters reacting with each other to show their personalities and portray a narrative.
